Richard Wright
Rick taught himself how to play guitar, trumpet, and piano while recuperating from a broken leg at age 12
Took private lessons in music theory and composition at a local music school
Also influenenced by traditional jazz, Rick taught himself to play the trombone and the saxophone as well
Joined the band that would eventually be Pink Floyd in 1964
Wright took the lead vocal duties on Pink Floyd’s “Time” “Remember a Day”, and “Wearing the inside out”
