Steve Nieve
Steve Nieve, who’s real last name is Nason, got the moniker after joining his first rock band and asking
“What’s a groupie?”
He began playing piano at age 4, but bought a Vox organ at age 16. This would be the instrument he would use on his first recording session with The Attractions (Elvis Costello)
Steve had been studying at London’s Royal College Of Music, but dropped out in 1977 to join Elvis Costello’s band
He stayed in Costello’s band for about 10 years, then left to play with a variety of artists, including The Neville Brothers, Squeeze, and Davis Bowie
