Chuck Leavall
Founding member of the late 1970’s jazz/rock/funk group Sea Level (BTW, this was a play on Chuck’s name C.Leavell. His last name is pronounced “level” not “leeval”)
He has been a member of The Rolling Stones touring band for over 25 years
largely self taught, one of his early mentors was Bruce Hornsby (“that’s just the way it is”)
Played the piano parts on the Allman Brothers classic instrumental “Jessica” which he said was one of three of his favorite contributions in session work. The others being the piano in “Drops of Jupiter” (Train), and “Out Of Tears” (Rolling Stones)
