Roger Powell
Roger’s career began in the late 1960’s when he began programming analog synthesizers for television commercials
He was a protege of Robert Moog, and also worked with Alan Robert Pearlman (ARP) instruments doing design work and system demonstration
Roger played keyboards and synthesizers in Todd Rundgren’s group UTOPIA from 1974 to 1985 when the they disbanded
Powell developed one of the first MIDI sequencers named “texture”, which was designed to work with the Apple II
He worked as a senior programmer for Apple Computer from 1997 to 2009
