Eddie Jobson
Began playing piano at age 7, and added the violin one year later
Applied to be a student at The Royal Academy of Music, but while he had the musical qualifications, he was turned down because he was only 16
Replaced Brian Eno in Roxy Music in 1973
Throughout the 70’s Jobson played both keyboards and electric violin with a variety of recording artists.
He met Frank Zappa in 1975, and joined Zappa the following year. He helped form the supergroup UK. Joined Jethro Tull and went on tour with them 80-81
He was also a successful composer of TV and film soundtracks.
